KMD was established in 1980 in the Kocaeli İzmit Körfez Industrial Zone. The company commenced its operations with the manufacturing of galvanized fuel tanks, aligned with the technical requirements and market needs of the period. After operating at this location until 2005, KMD relocated to its modern facility in the Kartepe Organized Industrial Zone, comprising 9,000 m² of open space and 2,500 m² of covered production area, resulting in a tenfold increase in production capacity.
